Mandhi

Mandi is a rice and meat dish that comes from Yemen, in the Hadramawt region. It is now very popular across the Arab world and in Kerala, especially in the Malabar area.

What it is: Long-grain rice, usually basmati, served under tender chicken or mutton (lamb or goat). The rice is cooked with the meat’s juices, which gives it a light smoky flavor and a golden color.
